My checks are so swollen, very painful and are hard as rocks. It's difficult to open my mouth to eat. How long can I except for recovery. I was told it was a very simple procedure and would have very little down time. Thank you!
I had bucal fat removal done 5 days ago, I was super swallowed the first two days and now I just look exactly the same as I did before. The doctor took all possible fat I had on my cheeks so I am worried nothing will change on my face and I will just look the same. They dont seem to be swollen anymore.
I had my buccal fat pad removed on 12/Apr/19 along with Kybella resulting, I have excessive swelling and am not able to open my mouth. I was instructed by my surgeon to have 5 sessions of ultrasound therapy to aid with the discomfort along with antibiotics and pain killers. I am using all of the surgeons directions, however, it hurts to chew, use mouthwash, brush my teeth, drink water (the most basic mouth related activities). I feel as if I am being stabbed repeatedly on the inside of my mouth.
Hi , I had buccal fat removal procedure 5 days ago, and on the left side it was hard, they say they didn't touch de buccal nerve but when I point my lips hard the uper lip curve. I am very worried and i only see my doctor in 2 weeks. Am wondering if it will go away with the swelling. Thanks you! Ps the first photo I point harder like for a kiss.( sorry am french) i can smile normaly also.
I had buccal fat removal and chin lipo about 6 days ago.. my swelling has significantly gone down since I can now talk and enjoy food a bit better. One side of my cheek is really noticeably bigger and it's bugging me like crazy! The day I came home from surgery the doctor allowed me to replace my mouth gauzes if I felt the ones he placed got too damp and mushy. When I did this I feel as if I might have pulled the stitches. Today I checked with a mirror and it is in fact open! What do I do?!
Please see attached photo for my current state, it is getting worst, it is not this worst for the first 4 days, and the doctor also informed me that on my right cheek a lot of fat has been removed compared to the left one (which is mildly swollen), my concern is that the swollen is upto my chin, its making me paranoid whether this is normal for other doctors aside from my own. And also take note I combined my surgery with double eylid and rhino only this is my main concern.
JULY 2nd I had a Rhinoplasty, Upper Lip Lift and Buccal Fat Pads Removal revision. Now JULY 9, nose and upper lip are fine but my cheeks have a problem : My left cheek healed fine but my right cheek still has a swollen appearance and it hurts if i try to open my mouth wider than 1cm; it feels extremely stiff to the touch at the place the incision was made, almost has a muscle texture more than a skin or fat texture. I'm very concerned since I can't smile or eat properly. Please help guys !!
My swelling has gone down a bit. However there is still some swelling left. Will I need to go back to have new stitches in? My surgeon insists that there is nothing to worry about and to keep gargling the mouth wash, etc. Is this normal or will it become infected? Thanks..
