Since about 5 days ago when I take my sports bra off to shower, there is a bit of yellowish dried discharge where the bra sits under my right breast (new occurrence). I wash the bra between showers. Today I peeled back the steri-strips a bit & noticed a small (.5 inch) hole at the T-junction on my right breast. It is oozing white/yellowish discharge. I'm not sure if there is a hair or some sort of spitting suture next to it. I put Aquafor on it & covered with a gauze pad. Should I be concerned?
I underwent BR surgery on 5/10/18 and as soon as I was cleared to change my gauze and shower (about 2 days later), i noticed yellow discharge that wouldn't scab up. I keep dressing it and dressing it and now I am day 10 and it seems to be opening up. I have no fever, and it doesn't seem to be hot. Im not sure if it hurt due to being numb down there. Any thoughts?
I am 4 1/2 weeks out from breast reduction. I have a wound at the t incision that is being taken care of with gauze packing twice/day. But this morning I woke up and about an inch to the right of that wound its oozing pretty good. Like you wipe it and in a secon theres more coming out. Very thin liquid light yellow and pink. A very small spot. But the flesh above it looks red. No symptoms of infection. Feel fine (other than very frustrated). Its saturday, I have an appt Monday. Ok to wait?
Hey Im 5 days post breast reduction..recovering rather well, i had my dressings removed yesterday day and the difference is huge.. i had more than 2.8 pounds removed between my breasts, 1.8 from my left. My question is.. is it normal to still be spotting blood and yellow fluid? And my left breast feels really firm, its bruised and the nipple looks dark purple.. i couldnt take pics because i feel like fainting every time i look at them :(
I am currently POD #17 from a bilateral breast reduction, uncomplicated and everything went as planned. I had my steri strips removed yesterday, and have dissolvable stitches. Upon returning home, I can now see at the bottom of my left breast on the T-junction there is an open area, with white/yellow tissue that is slightly draining (I have gauze placed over top). I have been applying vaseline to my incisions. I am wondering if this is an infection? I will be seeing my surgeon in 2 days.
Im had a breast reduction 6 weeks ago and took off my bandages and saw that the skin didnt heal completely and there is white/yellow discharge coming from the incision. Is it a seroma and if so should I get it drained?
I had Breast reduction surgery almost 3 weeks ago and up until 4 days ago I had no bleeding, oozing, or bruising of any sort. I noticed my bra had dried dark blood on it then start putting gauze and bacitracin on the incision as I thought it was maybe a little tear. The slight bleeding has continued JUST in the one small area and it is a very dark red almost brown color and the surrounding area of the dried blood is a bit yellow. Is this normal?
