I had a lumpectomy & 8 nodes removed. I was told that I shouldnt even have needles or blood tests done on my left arm. Im now wondering if liposuction on my left under arm is safe. What about lymphedema?
I am 11 days post op, 2.5 lb (total) anchor reduction and for the most part am very happy with my results. Due to the amount of excess tissue under my arms, I asked to have the incisions extend to remove as much as possible. (I wasn't really concerned with the scarring). I'm now wondering if I should have added lipo as well. (I did this through insurance so lipo was extra). At this point, considering I didn't have drains, how much may be swelling versus fat?
I'm 5 days post op and seem to be healing well. I had drains for the first 3 days but they were removed at my post op appointment. I've recently noticed that my armpit and underarm (down to about midway to my elbow) is completely numb. I can't feel anything when I touch it. This is the case on BOTH ARMS It's making mobility of my shoulders difficult. What could this be?
After reduction and revision I am still having a hard time fitting bras. I have to buy larger cup sizes to accommodate the excess fat and skin. If I size up in the band the problem isn't as obvious but my breasts aren't properly supported from the loose band. What is the procedure called and about how much does it cost? Also I had a lollipop reduction, not anchor..how will this procedure be done? Would they create the horizontal incision on me, or just operare on the underarm area?
My left breast is a couple sizes than my right breast. On my big breast I have a lot of underarm fat and the fat goes to the upper back of my body. My left arm feels really weak when I put it up and this has been happening ever since my underarm fat has gotten fat and my left breast has gotten bigger. Due to the underarm fat, I can't extend my arms too far. I know I want to get a reduction for my left breast but I wanted to know what can I do about the extra underarm fat.
I had breast reduction surgery 4 weeks ago. I am thrilled with the results. However, I had really bad bruising on my right side under my arm and have now got sore lumpy patches. My surgeon has aspirated each time he has seen me, but they are still painful and hard. How long will they take to resolve, and is there anything I can do to hasten the process?
