I will be getting a reduction in a few weeks. I will have internal stitches, dermabond, and the stitches on the outside. My surgeon said I can not shower for 5weeks. Only sponge bathe. WHY IS THIS?? Why wait to long to clean myself properly
I was a 36 H and am now a 36 DD and some time after I got my stitches out I noticed a suture under my skin but Im all healed up & its still there. Also I am struggling to get rid of some keloid around the areola, any suggestions?
I had a breast reduction surgery 8 months ago and now have this painful, very soft, reddish and purple swollen area on my incision between my nipple and bottom of my right breast and the skin stretched out and peeled over it! Had no exercise or physical pressure in that area. Is this a scar tissue, fat necrosis or suture granuloma? Will it gradually go away??
It's been draining pretty bad since the first surgery and started to again 2 days after the second surgery. It also has a funky odor. Is this normal and how long should it take for it to stop draining? It only happened on the right side and the left side has been perfect.
My surgeon says- its a puckered areola. When the sutures dissolve the puckering will resolve. Thoughts? Also, asymmetrical breast. Prior to surgery I had fairly even breast- i had 800 grams removed from one and 850 from the other. Cause of current asymmetry? Thoughts? Obviously, following closely with my board certified surgeon, I would like other options.
I had a breast reduction surgery on 26 Apr 18 and had oozing periodically but it stopped about 1 wk ago. My doctor said I could work out after 8 wks and I did some light chest exercises 2 days ago (65 days post surgery) I noticed this SOFT bruise under my incision between the areola & under my breast and 2 other areas under the other breast along the incision which looked like a hemorrhage? Can this be suture coming undone & bleeding internally? There is no liquid, blood but have shooting pain.
Im about 3 1/2 wks po from DDD to,Im assuming, a B.I have some rippling/bunching on my breasts. During surgery the skin was pulled really tight on both breasts, especially the left. Over the past weeks some of the ripples have turned into stretch marks,but the bottom portion of the left breast still has folds.The right breast wasnt as bad.I think my breasts were sutured too tight.I know its early but I would like to know if things will fall in place or if Ill need a revision.Thanks
I was curious to find out any suggestions or ideas why my right areola is now distorted. I originally had 36 DDs that were grade 3 ptosis. My surgeon suggested a reduction and implants to raise my breasts with cleavage. I went to every follow up appointment but only saw my surgeon once since the surgery. Her PA was in charge removing my sutures, did she not remove them soon enough? The PA suggested revision soon after as my scars were not great looking, now she suggested a tattoo.
Yesterday I Had Discharge From one nipple, it is odorless, clear and at end yellowish from one of my nipples (tiny whole). I called my surgeon and showed him these photos and he said that is normal, that it was leftovers from my internal sutures. I wanted a second opinion just in case. I did squeeze my nipple yesterday to get all the liquid out, today it has been a little painful, I'm assuming that is due to the squeezing. My breast is not swollen, not red and I don't have a fever.
