I strongly feel that the lumps are a blood clot ( about the size of a golf ball maybe a bit bigger) Can you please tell me what is the best course of action to confirm if this is the case, do I need an x-ray? Do I need surgery to remove it? Or will it stay there & dissolve for its self? Can it cause me any further complications to my health or healing process? Can I fly long haul flights in the time being? I would really appreciate some professional advice, Thanks.
A fall that happens 13 days before a BR procedure that is expected to last 3 hours- results in a large dark purple bruise right next to a large varicose vein right below the knee. No idea what the bruise will look like on the day of surgery but should a call be made to surgeon regarding this or would she be wasting their time? Thanks! The fall wasn't serious- just a slip!
Im a 47 years old woman. I had a breast reduction surgery Back in Jun 27th of 2017 and had a massive Stroke 10 days after. My Neurologist says that because of the surgery my blood was inflamed. Is it true or not. I blame myself for doing the elective surgery. I wonder if the doctor should have done something to avoid this! Please help. Im very devestated.
18 days post op and today I noticed this indentation. Its not super visible but I feel it .i dont know if this is concerning .The area it is sore and near it is hard , the doctor said the hardness was probably a old blood clot she wasnt concerned.my doctor is closed on the weekends and Im just feeling concerned I dont know if this will go away if its just swelling causing this indent or what it is but id hate it to stay . Anyone familiar with this?
Hi! I am 4 days post-op from my breast reduction and liposuction of the lateral chest wall. When I was in the recovery room at the hospital the nurse told me not to cross my legs due to the risk of blood clots. I was also told to get up periodically and walk around to promote circulation. I am just wondering if I am in the clear at this point in my recovery for developing blood clots. For how long after surgery is it a risk?
I'm 34 years old going in for a reduction tomorrow. Previously diagnosed with MTHFR from a recurrent miscarriage panel. Homecystine levels are normal. Small clots were found in my placenta 4 years ago after delivery. I was on low dose asprin during pregnancy. I've notified my doc's office. Should I push for low dose lovenex or what can I do to lower my risk. I'm scared as I have two small kids.
