Hello! 3 days ago I got reconstructive surgery on my left breast with Strattice placed inside to help with my very thin skin and extreme rippling on the lower part of my breast. Since then the pain has been minimal and I dont have any redness or soreness beyond a normal post surgery feeling. However I have these little bumps that you can see better in harsh light, they arent painful. What are these?
5 months out from mastectomies & immediate implants w/ Alloderm. IMF incisions. 371g removed on left, 446g removed on right, and 435cc Natrelle Inspira put in. Thrilled with left. Have concerns with right. I know rippling is not unusual with thin tissues after mastectomy, but I have a large always-present visible dent and I can feel the rippling at outer edge of implant and it sometimes causes pinching/discomfort from movement. Some extra skin at bottom as well. Options and recovery time?
I am 52 and have had a bi-lateral mastectomy followed by silicon breast implants. I notice rippling at the top of my breast when I lean over. I will have nipples added in a couple of months. Is there anything that can be done during this upcoming surgery that can help cover up the ripples?
What can be done about thin/thinning skin after a bilateral mastectomy? No radiation done. Have Alloderm with silicon mod implants but still have rippling, puckers and divots. Is there anything I can do to help remedy this? Thank you for any help!!
All done 16 years ago. I was very happy with my result. But now the implants are rippling badly and I have some "nerve"? pain on my chest which is relieved if I shift or move the implant. Will insurance cover another reconstruction surgery or is this a cost I would have to cover on my own?
I see advertising for fat transfer to the face available as an in-office procedure. I have some minor rippling and divots to a silicone implant based breast cancer reconstruction and a small ridge/shelf where my chemo port had been. I think (hope) I need just a little refining with a bit of fat transfer to finally move past all of this. Can breast cancer patients have this done in-office? Or will surgeons do that only for cosmetic patients?
I had a nipple/skin sparing prophylactic bilateral mastectomy with tissue expander placement in June of this year. In October I exchanged for anatomical silicone implants (Mentor MemoryShape). I am having some rippling which seems to be getting worse. Its somewhat visible on the right when I stand upright, but really apparent on both sides when I bend over. Will this require surgical revision? If so, what kind? I am 5'3, approx. 115 lbs. Thank you :)
What are the best techniques to repair this? Delayed reconstruction after double mastectomy even with 24 hours support bra wear. Spacers in for 3 1/2 months. 425CC implants, 5'1, 102lbs, now size 34C. Breasts are sagging 1/2 below bottom of breast, 3/4 below incision , rippling on both sides and breasts fall into armpits when laying on back. Skins is super loose and breasts are soft. Sharp pain in left breast when using left arm. Can Alloderm be used without removing implants or do I have to start over again?
