I am 6 days PO and I was told to take my sterile strips off at one week. Well I took one side off because it was bugging me. My nipple sort of peeled off my skin. Not my whole nipple but like a little tiny corner is separated. I can see pink flesh. It doesnt hurt at all. I am just wondering is this normal? I put new sterile tape on it and am not messing with the other side.
I had a unilateral breast lift yesterday and I am currently in excuriatinf pain. My next appointment with a nurse is in 16 days. I was told to take off the bandages myself and then buy steristrips at the drugstore and then to put those on if my old ones fall off. The next appointment with my actual dr. Is 2 months after my procedure. I am in really bad pain and I feel like my bandages are too tight. I was told to wait 3 days to take them off. I feel scared and hopeless. Is this normal?
Today is the day after my unilateral breast lift an I am still in a fair bit of pain. I was told to shower 3 days after the surgery (once I take off my bandages). Se websites tell me to shower with the steri strips and some say to take it off. I personally think that I would be far too scared to wash the incisions that early as they still hurt... Would that cause infection? What kind of soap can I use? I also have dissolvable stitches, I don't know if that matters.
I am 11 days post op breast lift and had my day after surgery strips changed today. My left breast had some clear discharge on the incision that smelled off. The nurse cleaned my wounds and put on new steri strips. She said it was fine and not to worry. Could the smell have been from the blood and oozing trapped after surgery? Do I put neosporin over the steri strips just in case? Should I still get them wet in the shower? The PS didn't seem concerned and I'm not on antibiotics.
Hello there, When should be Steri Strips Stopped and AntiBiotic Ointment started (is ABO necessary at all)? This is regarding my 4-week male bilateral peri-areolar mastopexy lift. I'm pron to scar spreading and keloid. I've heard some doctors recommend Steri Strips for 3 months or something post op to prevent incision spreading and keloid scars. I'm willing to use Steri Strips as long as necessary. What's usually ideal? Thank you
I am 7 days post op today, and I live 9 hours away from my surgeon. I flew to a much more credible town and doctor to have a lift and full tummy tuck done. Anywho, I had a large piece of plastic (to me) hanging underneath my left breast just now and remembering my doctor say I could remove the tape when it started falling off, I did just that. Well, a large dark (blood?) spot plus the tape came off leaving a bit of a gap and it was bleeding lightly. What the heck did I do!?
