Breast augmentation / lift in Colombia 6 weeks ago (and Circumferential Abdominoplasty, brachioplasty after 115 pound wt loss) I have a large scab on my right breast that is healing really slow. I had a scab on my left breast and now it appears to be an open hole that I noticed tonight. I can't tell from everything I read if the implant is exposed or if it is healing. I don't know if this is normal? I have looked for pictures that are similar to mine, and the feedback seems to vary. Thank you!
I cleaned and put gauze on it . Is this normal? Since then I have made a appt to go see my doctor just to get it checked out . Will it now take longer to scab back over ? Is there now a risk of infection since the scab came off ?
Hi. Is it normal? I underwent a breast reduction with implants 25 days ago. I got this big black scabs in my left areola and I am extremely concerned about the healing and if I will need another kind of procedure to fix that. I am in contact with my surgeon, who sees me every week, but I think I could use a second opinion on that. I started using bacitracin ointment 4 days ago. Does it usually heal by itself? It doesnt hurt, no sign of infection at all. I wonder why it happened.
I'm 17 days PO after BA with HP 750 cc implants, under the muscle with lift. My PS says to keep applying Silvadene, and that the blackness will eventually scab and fall off but is fixable. But what about the blackness underneath too? My PS says that nothing looks infected or open though. My implants are under the muscles so I shouldn't be at high risk should I? Should I get a second opinion? I'm worried that we need to be more aggressive so that I don't lose my implants.
I had a breast lift with implant three weeks ago. About last week I took off the bandage and a piece of skin came off it later heeled on it's own. Then the entire nipple and areola started being really dry scab like. I rubbed bacitracin on it and then it just peeled away. No discharge or green stuff or pus ever came out of my nipple. It just peeled away like one big old scab from a cut.
I still have thick scabs and clear drainage from both breasts. Around the scabs is red some even look purplish in color. I have a lot of discomfort when I wear a sports bra for a couple of hours. I get shooting pains, they don't last long but can be very painful. I am very concerned!! Is this normal seeing it's been almost 2 months??
I am 3 weeks post op ( will be 4 on wednesday) and I noticed some green old scabbing around my nipple and under my boob. Could this be possible infection? There's no other sign of infection only that my nipples are super sensitive to the cold weather and I'll get a tingling burning sensation when cold. Also when I'm cold I tend to tense up and now my boobs feel like cement . Is this normal ?
When are dissolvable stitches supposed to dissolve? And are they keeping my incisions from healing properly and timely? Sometimes when my scabs get wet they peel off and I can see the sutures. Is it concerning or normal? I know my scabs are larger than usual but my surgeon was not concerned because they are superficial and no infection.
Had my surgery (lollipop lift with implants) exactly 4 wks ago. Had a small scab that wasn't going away where the 2 incisions met. Couldn't tell if scab was getting bigger, it wasn't healing like the rest though. This morning while taking a shower, the giant gooey scab comes off. Not a lot of pain (mildly tender to touch). When I look in the mirror, a stitch is literally poking out of a small hole. My doctor appt isn't for another couple weeks, should I see someone asap? How bad/normal is this?
