I have been exploring the option of breast implants and was wondering if it is recommended since I have a history of pulmonary embolisms. I had all the genetic testing done to rule out any clotting issues and it was determined it was caused by my switch in Birth control (NuvaRing). I understand once you had them there is a possibility you can get them again, as well as using Lovenox after any surgery. Is it possibly for a surgeon to approve with my history?
Ive been cleared by my PS and my air line to fly from long haul six days post op. My operation was complication free. I had my follow up appointment today and he said Im healing very well. As I was leaving he asked if my clot was sore? I said no not really but the wording has made me slightly worried now! As shown in my picture I have what I thought was just normal bruising. Or has something been lost in translation? Is a bruise not a blood clot? Hes on leave tomorrow and cant ask him what he ment?
Im two weeks post breast augemtation and have been wearing m band consistantly however I notice the right boobs is still much higher than the left, which has started to fall into the pocket; should i be conern? Secondly I started taking oral birth control to stop my period for my vacation should i be concern with blood clots? Thank you in advance for your responses.
375l345rgummyunderthemuscle: 1 month po, my left boob is still high. I feel some tightness especially after getting up from sitting down and I could feel the implants like balls on my chest. When does that feeling go away? Ive also had a terrible cough since the day of surgery and still coughing a month later. I was able to take some meds 2 weeks post op and the cough has lessened but not fully gone. Could a cough worsen things? Clot some blood and cause cc lol.I was only on pain meds for 2 days
The bruises aren't getting any bigger , not really getting any smaller either and I'm five days post op. My surgeon is in Miami & I am in New York .... idk what to do . Should I wait to see if the bruising subsides or contact a surgeon in my area ??
I was diagnosed with factor v after I got a blood clot. My circumstances were crazy, I smoked, was on a long plane ride, and was on yaz. My doctor decided I didn't need to be on long term blood thinners considering all the circumstances that were in play when I got it. That was 8 years ago. I've had no incidents since. I would like to get breast implants and I wanted to know if it was too risky? I cleaned up my lifestyle (exercise, no smoking, etc) after the clot.
When I was 8 months pregnant, I developed a large clot in my upper left thigh. I was on Lovenox for 6 months and should only need blood thinners again if I get pregnant again. All the blood work came back clear of any genetic disorders after that. My doctors decided, that I was just in that small percentage that developes a clot from the from pregnacy itself. With that being said, is it safe for me to undergo surgery for breast implants?
I have Factor II Prothrombin Gene Mutation (my blood clots more than most) and I would like to know if this condition would hinder getting breast implants. This generally only becomes problematic during pregnancy for me personally and during which I am required to take daily Lovinox Subcutaneous Injections. Without being pregnant my hematologist advises no smoking reg. exercise and refrain from sitting still for more than 2 hrs. I give this information in hopes that it may define my specific case of Factor II.
