I had a breast fat transfer procedure about 6-7 months ago and I recently walked right into the edge of my dresser pretty hard on my nipple area, it hurt! I am a little worried because I feel it tender and a bit harder like a little lump. Could you still lose breast fat after this long from a jab to the breast from the corner of a dresser?
I had a breast fat transfer and it's been about a year and my left breast has a large fat necrosis that takes up a lot of my upper breast. I don't feel pain but sometimes uncomfortable from it. What're some solutions to this?? Will I have to have an invasive surgery and cut into my whole breast? Could it cover over possible breast cancer in the future making it non detectable?? Not sure if these are stupid questions but I'm scared! Need some peace of mind
I had fat transfer to my breasts and now I have this ugly hard lump, about the size of a strawberry that sticks out from my breast and makes me look and feel deformed. I told my surgeon about it and he will remove it but says I could likely be left with an indent which he will not fix with more fat transfer for fear of more necrosis. His solution is a donut breast lift which raises red flags for me. Would I necessarily get necrosis again if I filled the indent with more fat?
Ive read the complications of breast fat transfer (necrosis, lumps, calcifications, cyst, asymmetry, infection). Im really interested in this procedure because I dont want implants, but concerned. Are these complications common? Are the majority of people satisfied? I have found a board-certified plastic surgeon who does a lot of these, so I know he is skilled, but wondering if the complications make it not worth it, or if im worrying too much.
I had a breast fat transfer a month ago following a partial mastectomy. I am due for regular mammogram screening in 3 months time, but am worried that the compression from the mammography will affect the breast shape or result in fat necrosis. I have read it takes 6 months for the fat to create its own blood supply. Should I consider a PET scan this time around only instead?
I got breast implants 13 years ago. My breast were very painful a few months afterward, especially my left breast. It felt as if a nerve was being compressed and as if my body was fighting a foreign invader. I had the implants removed around 4 years later with fat grafted to the breast. Now there are hard lumps that are very painful. I feel like a heavy object is compressing my chest making it diffucult to breathe. Im unable to contact the surgeon who did the fat tranfer. What are my options?
What is the real risk of weight loss after Breast fat Transfer? I am under the impression that fat cells shrink when losing weight they dont just evaporate though it seems they do. If a month goes by after a fat transfer and cells have a blood supply, wouldnt they just shrink with weight loss and then with weight gain become larger? Or can weight loss after the fat grafting cause some irreversible fat cell necrosis? Asking because Im outdoorsy and weight fluctuates a lot with the seasons.
I am 33 years old! I had fat transfer surgery about 5 years ago. Unfortunately my right breast got a big fat necrosis (it has been 1.5 years now) It is really bad and my nipple is inverted now (due to fat necrosis)! My doctor suggested to remove it by surgery and put implant but he says it might not look good! Another way is to remove all my breast and put implant to make sure my breasts look smooth and event! I am so sad because I dont want to lose my whole breast since I dont have cancer!
I got fat transfer to my breasts 6 months ago. The pain went away after 2.5 months. At 4 months post op the pain returned. Soreness. Tenderness. From below the armpit to underneath each breast. I reached out to my doc and they said that since it had been 4 months since surgery it was unlikely to be linked to surgery. The pain started to subside so I went about my life. The pain returned and now its worse. Concentrated behind my nipple. Almost feels infected. Does this sound like fat necrosis?
Mommy makeover 3/2020 w/peri-areolar breast lift, tummy tuck, lipo, and breast fat grafting. Developed fat necrosis w/golf-ball sized cyst (mostly upper medial section) now calcified & painful at times. But I HATE the way it looks and feels during intimacy. If cyst is removed it will take MOST of the volume and result in a divot. Instead of removing it, could I try to fat graft over it to hopefully minimize its hard feel and the look of it when I lay flat. 5'3, 125#, B cup. ANY IDEAS? HELP!
