Hi, a while back I had an augmented mastopexy with 240cc siltex memory gel implants. I developed a seroma on one breast which resulted in implant extrusion, then having to hsve the implant removed. I have surgery booked to have the new implant in the empty breast replaced, however I have issue with my good breast! Its firmer and fuller on the side by my cleavage and I can see / feel ripples. Is this capsular contracture?
Ive developed Seroma in my left breast 6 years post breast augmentation. Initially I was referred to the breast cancer clinic. I got the all clear and they told me to live with the Seroma for 4 weeks to see if it goes on its own and if it doesnt they will drain it. The ultrasound only showed a slither of fluid but my breast is rock hard and larger. Its also asymmetrical and uncomfortable. Im really worried about capsular contracture too. Any advice would be appreciated
I am post-op 5 days and i develop new symptoms of swelling, pain, feeling there is liquid moving underneath my skin near the incision area. Also a sudden feeling of unwell, fever, weak. On day 6, i monitor that the swelling is double size (in the picture). Day 7, my doctor asked me to do blood check and results seems there is no infection (picture attached) but i have a sudden anemia. Do you think i have Seroma based on my symptoms? Or other case? Is it the cause of my anemia? What should i do?
I have had two ops on my right side in the last 3 months the first my augmentation of 425cc which got a wound infection 3 weeks post op it was cleaned and out back with a new scar. Now 6 weeks post that op o develop a blister on the scar which has since be drained and now is leaking a clear yellow fluid. I believe a seroma. The implant is fine and I show no sign of infection. What are my options.. my PS says he will cut out the old wound a re do the NHS just want to cut out the implant.
I've had smooth implants since 2011. About a week after stopping birth control pills, I discovered what I thought was a cyst in my RT breast. My GYN sent me for a mamo and ultrasound. Mamo normal, ultrasound could not detect anything when I was laying down. The radiologist actually came in the room and performed the ultrasound. When I stood up she felt the cyst and said it was a ripple. Just wondering if it might actually be a seroma or if that would have shown on the mamo or ultrasound? Thank you!
I am 3 weeks postoperatively silicone. After the first week, developed a large seroma and my doctor would not drain. In 15 days drained spontaneously through the scar, and now I have to try to drain help decrease the amount of liquid. How long does it take to stop seroma to drain and heal?
I have a large seroma on my breast. It began forming a month ago. I am now on dicloflex and it is slowly reducing I think. MRI is booked for 2 weeks time to see if we can find a reason for seroma. My implants are 3 years old. No one I've spoken to seems worried and I'm told likely due to tear in implant. Also have enlarged lymph nodes under armpit. My question is I am exhausted.10 hours sleep every night is not enough. I have no energy to do anything. Is this tiredness linked to the seroma?
After my 1 month post op (Breast augmentation) appointment some trauma to my breast after massage from PS. Now i have severe swelling...PS says he does not want to drain it and to wait for body to absorb..what are my changes ?
My bruised breast is causing constant pain. i have trapped air/liquid above both breasts. I have got a bit of yellow bruising under one arm pit and I have a small purple bruise under the breast that appeared yesterday. The bruised breast is a lot more sore and painfull than the other and is slightly more swollen and gets shooting pains. Is it a seroma/hematoma? My right breast with the bruise under it is causing me a lot of pain and the left is numb.
