Is it ok to continue taking omega 3 liquid? Vitamin C? D? B12? Collagen liquid or powder? I have read a lot about the meds causing constipation and I don't want to put any added stress on incisions, is it ok to start taking a laxative a few days before surgery? Metamucil or something better? Thanks
Can I take laxative less then 24 house after. My tummy is hard and uncomfortable. 5 days prior to my surgery I was in a car accident and on Norco so I have only pooped once in a week ?
I also drink lots of water exercise and still nothing to fix this problem having a colonoscopy tomorrow but my fear is it will show its normal and my bowels which are still be a problem any suggestions
I'm very distended and cannot pass gas either. I started the stool softener/laxative before surgery. And i am 4 days post op. I have tried milk of mag, miralax and 2 suppositories. What else should I do? Also part of my fear is that when I push hard, I'm afraid of messing up my implant or muscles in that area. Will pushing affect that? I also stopped my pain meds yesterday morning. I have been walking decently. Drink lots of fluids and stopped eating until I can get some relief.
I had surgery on the 20th of January and I was prescribed Senna herbal laxatives to take to help me go to the toilet I still haven't been 5 days later and I have gained 10lbs in 5 days on a small diet. I am really suffering with a bloated sore tummy. Is there anything you could reccomend to help relief this constipation and is this normal?
I've had to cut out all of my normal herbs and green tea regiment and I feel so bloated and backed up. Is there any safe laxative that I can use before surgery as I know it's only going to get worse right after surgery with pain medication and immobility.
I'm getting a breast lift and augmentation of November 20 and so I'm cutting out all medications. However, I wanted to know if its okay to use mild laxatives in the week before surgery? Are there any types I should avoid? I personally think it is an underactive thyroid issue that is making it difficult to have bowel movements and I'm schedule to see an endocrinologist, but not till after the surgery (they were booked up).
