Ive been having random episodes of hives and occasional swelling of my lips and sometimes my fingers since a few weeks prior to my BA. My surgeon told me to take Benadryl and as long as i didnt have any hives present the day of my surgery i should be fine. I had my breast aug on 6/5. But everyday since i have had the same hives ( i know it is not related to any of the medications or materials used for surgery) . Is it okay that i take Benadryl or Zyrtec ? What affects could this have?
I am 1 month post op, during week 2-now i had hives on the bottom of both my breasts and it has calm down a little bit after using cream but the hives is still there. Now at 1 month post op i now have hives doing down both of my arms. They are spreading I am scared, my PS says to just use the Ket 2% cream and that's it. why is the hives spreading? What is causing my hives? i took benadryl and i put on the 2% steroid cream and cortisone cream, help
I started taking cortisone, and Benadryl yesterday but I only do the Benadryl at night. I am so uncomfortable and the support bra I wear just irritates the rash under my boobs the worst. (Whether that be the bra my PS gave me or the sports bra that I bought) when will this get better? When should I start to get concerned, and call my PS and inform him of any changes?
I am scheduled for a breast augmentation tomorrow. This morning I woke up to areas of itchy rashes on my stomach. Went to an urgent care facility who gave me a Benadryl injection and the solumedrol. I was told that I was most likely reacting to a new medication (celexa which I have quit taking) and since the visit the rash and itchiness is completely gone. My surgeon has not returned my call and I am scheduled tomorrow morning for my procedure. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!
These water blisters are very itchy and once they pop, they somewhat scab over. Funny thing is they are only along the edges of the Tegaderm and mostly in my cleavage and the medial aspect of my breasts. I've cut the Tegaderm back but new blisters form at the borders. I've used Benadryl pills and cream and Aquafor which stops the itch but new blisters still form. PS says there is no infection. What are these blisters and how can I prevent more from forming as I don't want to risk an infection?
Have already removed tape and seen my surgeon (who is awesome by the way...). And yes, based on the rash and some mild blistering it is indeed a reaction to the tape (or solution on tape). How long can I expect for the itch to continue? (Two days since we removed tape) I have to limit the Benadryl because I am driving my kids around, and have applied hydrocortisone cream but the itch is still intense. When will it go? Can anything else help? Will it affect healing (lift/augmentation procedure.) Thanks!!
