Lastnight I read over all tests, labs & doc notes sent to my surgeon for arm, bbl procedure. After having my Ekg & chest xray, I was told everything was normal. I have had HBP for 20+ years, controlled with meds. My surgical coordinator sent me the surgeon has reviewed all labs & doctor notes you are all clear for surgery email, but after actually reading the notes, I see that the Ekg showed the mild concentric lvh. Im a bi surprised I wasnt questioned about this and now Im worried.
If I have a heart condition will my ekg probably be abnormal or make me not get cleared for surgery? I have a heart condition by the name of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. My cardiologist has already approved me for the surgery but my surgeon is saying I'll need blood work and an ekg done. I'm just nervous because I'm not sure if me having a heart condition will make me fail the ekg approval for surgery or anything even though I do get them regularly.
My doctor requested an EKG and labs before my surgery and received news that I needed an Echo because the EKG came back abnormal showing a possible left atrial enlargement. Would a doctor still consider it or how serious is this.
My surgeon is not requiring me to have any test done prior to surgery. The surgery coordinator informed me that they only run test on patients over 50 and/or prior Heath issues. I was informed by other prior patients this is not true and i should switch my doctor immediately. Hoping to shed some light on this. Im 32 and have had prior surgery (breast augmentation and two cesareans) i dont have any health issues that i know of. But heart disease does run in my family.
On May 5 I went to have an ekg done. It came back abnormal (Sinus Bradycardia and Anteroseptal Infarct). My doctor then referred me to a cardiologist who ran stress echo and sonogram my heart. He said my heart is fine. He then cleared me and said I will be able to have surgery. A week before I went to cardiologist, I went to ER and they Ekg my heart and ran blood work and said my heart enzymes were fine. No sign of anteroseptal infarct. Will this abnormal ekg pose threat for surgery?
I am always at the doctor's office getting test done so that there arent any surprises. The other day I asked my Dr to prescribe me Phentermine. He said, Ok, but we will need to run some test EKG. He said my heart rate/ pulse was low. Im waiting for him to send my all of my results but today over the phone the MA told me my pulse/heart rate was 43 (low). Can I get lipo/ bbl with this low pulse?
