Hi, 3 months ago I had my second Botox treatment for bruxism. 4 weeks after I went back to evaluate, and the doctor added some more. The same night I noticed the left corner of my mouth was frozen, and since then I have not been able to curve the corner of my mouth when I smile. My doctor said the Botox probably migrated to the risorius muscle, but that it is weird that I saw an effect on my smile the same day. Does this mean something else is causing the crooked smile, such as a damaged nerv?
Hi! I am wondering - getting Botox done soon. I have dry eyes and need to do heated eye masks daily. How long after Botox do I need to wait to do that? Not sure how long its possible for Botox to migrate after.
How long to wait after Botox to start yoga inversion exercises? I had previous instance where I waited 2 weeks after Botox to start trampoline exercise and the toxins migrated and caused partial facial paralysis. Now I am very hesitant to attempt anything and was too scared to do Botox for 4 years. I finally got Botox again 2 months ago but now I really want to start the yoga inversion with a special yoga bench. Can I?
I am reading testimonials about botox migrating outside of the intended treatment area and causing adverse effects anywhere from 5-12 days later. If adverse effects can occur 5-10 days later, why is it recommended that exercise, laying flat, wearing hats, etc. be avoided only for the first day?
I know you should not have heat on your face for 6 hours after Botox to decrease likelihood of migration. I know that many doctors do IPL 1st followed by Botox same day. My concern is that a common side effect of IPL is inflammation & redness, and these side effects generate heat in your face. I know heat/facial flushing immediately after Botox can cause migration. If IPL is done prior to Botox, will heat generated in face from IPL-related inflammation (side effect) cause Botox migration?
I would like to get Botox in the following muscles: masseter, temporalis, procerus, corrugator, and frontalis. Would wearing a surgical mask immediately following Botox injections cause the Botox to migrate? The mask would likely place slight pressure on the masseter and temporalis muscles (where Botox has been injected). I heard you should avoid pressure on face after Botox. I dont want Botox to migrate to unintended areas.
I'm getting Botox on forehead, 11's, temporalis, & jaw. I've read you shouldn't exercise 24-48 hours after to reduce risk of migration. I'm getting Botox at 4:30 PM & work early the next morning. My job is physically active and requires some heavy lifting throughout the day, cleaning, bending, setting up/breaking down folding tables, etc. Is this kind of activity considered to be exercise that should be avoided for 24-48 hrs post-treatment? Am I at risk for migration? Should I take off next day?
Have descrupture in my neck on 3 places, often stiff neck, sternocleidomastoideus, pressure in head. worried I've ruined it cause after I had a sitting massage, squeezed, massaged my neck, throat, sternomasteiodeus hard and on triggerpoints, I sudden felt a tingling in my face, and like something moved from glabellar and over brow down on the side of the eye and down to the cheek, as if it was either relaxing OR botox migrating? Im 4 days post botox. what do you think that was? Very worried
Hi I had botox 2 weeks. Forehead, glabellar and crows feet. Aside from that and not cause of the botox. But 4 days ago I got the sick from just a cold or something I ate at the same time. Cause I've been having high fever, vomiting, sneezing and coughing very hard!! So... Face down a lot and enormous pressure and pain in the face while I was coughing and vomiting... The sneezes too. All though its 2 weeks post botox, has it migrated? Cause it really looks like it has.... Thanks for answers
