Had upper and lower eyelid surgery. No complications. Had Botox 30 days later. Same plastic surg. 5 days after that swelling started. Now 4.5 months later still struggling. Steroids resolve completely. But cant take consistently. Antibiotics made no difference. Labs normal. Seen lots of MDs. Have had Botox for 10 years with no issue. Any ideas???
Hello. My wife recently received botox injections in addition to Broad Band Light treatment for veins on her nose. These procedures were performed by a local, respected dermatologist. She had previously had botox performed by a local plastic surgeon. So 3 days following the recent procedures, she has persistent swelling/bags under both eyes. The doctor claims they are from the broadband treatment...but seems like a stretch to me. Swelling has not subsided for 3 days, after ice/compression.
I had Botox injection in my forehead 5 days ago, immediately after injection I had allergic reaction such as erythema and edema in injection site, chest pain and breath difficulty, I went to hospital and I'm good now, but edema in my forehead is present until now and is moving from my forehead to base of nose and inner cantus of eyes, I think it's moving downward every day. there is no erythema or itching in this site.is this dangerous and what should I do???
I found out a few months ago that I have a strong sensitivity to albumin and didn't realize it was used in botox. I received the injection and now I am experiencing extreme edema throughout my whole body. When might this subside? When I have consumed eggs, it goes away in a couple of days but not sure about with the botox.
I had a botox injection directly under my lower eyelid and around eyes. 7 units on each side. They said that wasn't much. 6 days post-botox, I wake up with swollen eyes. They tend to go down and get a bit wrinkly until about early evening when they return pretty much to normal. Research shows that maybe it had slowed down the normal lymphatic flow, causing edema in the lids. Will this go away? I didn't realize this could happen and it is freaking me out that it will not return to normal.
