I am 10 days removed from 360 body lift. I had 4-5 lbs of skin removed, I was fairly lean (150 lb weight loss) and Lopo suction as well. My stomach and abdomen look awesome, however my love handles and back have become swollen and my inner thighs are swollen as well. I saw dr and he said he expected this as be did a lot of undermining and Lypo as well. I am up about 10 lbs post surgery. I assume this is all normal and will subside, but wanted to see what is typical.
I am 8 days post op from a lower body lift with replacement of silicone breast implants (400cc to 550cc). I was 179 on surgery day and am still at 177. My size 10 jeans still fit the same and I guess I am freaking out. 12 lbs of skin were removed during the procedure. I know swelling can last a while, but can I safely assume that when the swelling subsides I can at least expect the 12lb weight loss and a size change???
tummy tuck 13 weeks medial thigh lift with lipo 7 weeks. I have put on 20lbs but the first thing i noticed was my hourglass figure was gone and i was very straight. I mentioned this to my nurse who said my dr could not have made me bigger. Before surgery and i had a 31 inch waist now varies between 35 and 36 inches. Is this just swelling? He did an internal muscle repair, i cant feel a diastasis gap. Is it something else? How much longer will it last? Would a diuretic help or do i just wait?
Hi I had a LBL done back in late July 2018. I lost over a 140 pounds over 16 years ago and kept it off by committing a better lifestyle. I did have a Tummy Tuck back in 2005 and had Liposuction done on my fanny and my thighs. After turning 40, I started having a large amount of loose skin I was grabbing around my hip, butt, thigh area leading to my LBL. It has been six months now and am just curious on what areas of concern should be brought up at my next appointment Thank you
Spot w/ persistent pain & puffiness & newly developed stretch marks. But the skin is not tight in that spot, in fact its the only spot where skin can be grabbed and lifted up. Being out of my compression garment causes a lot of discomfort. Putting my hand on my back to hold up the skin is the only thing that relieves it until I'm back in the garment. Any idea why there are there stretch marks, why is the skin loose or what is causing the pain? Seeing my MD next week to discuss but was curious
I am post op day 9 from a belt lipectomy, tummy tuck and arm lift. I have had a pretty easy journey with pain hovering 5-6 out of 10 and sometimes 7. I went to my surgeon Wednesday PO day 5 and was changed from hospital garment to design by Veronique. It hurts my ribs, my crotch and makes me sore all over. I'm going to go in to my dr and order a different one (knee Knee length not bathing suit style) tomorrow but am just wondering besides the swelling what is the purpose?
6 weeks after lower body lift (belt liptectomy) I still have significant swelling, mainly from incision line down, around the incision line itself the swelling has decreased to within 1 inch of my previous waist size. But my hips/thighs are large enough I am currently wearing pants 1-2 size larger and still snug. Is the swelling in the thighs and legs normal? I am wearing Spanz compression tshirt that my physician recommended, but I am also wearing my abdominal binder periodically for lumbar.
I had a lower body lift 6m ago and recently began working out again. I had abdominal muscles hidden under loose saggy skin which showed up nicely after most swelling went down. After my work outs I'm feeling like I'm swelling and retaining fluid along my front incision line. Is it normal to have swelling this far post op? Also, am I crazy in thinking that I'm seeing results faster after surgery in my legs and behind? Even my abs seem to be popping out more, aside from the lower swelling.
