'Plastic Wives' Dayna Devon and Veronica Matlock: There's A Message In The Madness [VIDEO]

RealSelf talks to Dayna and Veronica about boosting women’s confidence through their TLC special, Plastic Wives -- and we get our very own video preview of one of the show's most talked-about moments.
Beverly Hills Botox parties, ladyparts floating in a jar, and catty costume bashes scream reality TV gold. But two of TLC's Plastic Wives, Dayna Devon and Veronica Matlock, insist that there's more to the message of the show than these juicy, jaw-dropping, oh-em-gee moments.
“I hope women see my story and see the procedures that are out there for them,” says Veronica, who first underwent cosmetic surgery after a string of embarrassing events caused by childbirth. “I had laser vagina rejuvenation and the reason I had it is because I had leaks of urine whenever I coughed, sneezed, laughed, and that was really uncomfortable and embarrassing. This surgery completely built my confidence and changed my life. It also increased my sexual gratification.”
Since then Veronica — wife of Dr. David Matlock, a Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon — has had a number of procedures done, including a Brazilian Butt Lift, where she had her own fat injected into her rear.
"I have no regrets," she says. "I’ve had my fair share of procedures and am still open to having my eyelids done because they’re bothering me and I’ll continue to remain open to it as long as it’s necessary. Little tune-ups along the way will maintain my look and make me feel good."
Former Extra host and fellow Plastic Wife Dayna Devon has a similar story. After having kids, Dayna — wife of Beverly Hills plastic surgeon (and RealSelf advisor) Dr. Brent Moelleken — had trouble losing excess belly fat and felt self-conscious about it everyday in front of the cameras.
"I was constantly repositioning myself so it wouldn't show. I was constantly picking clothes so that skin wouldn't show. I was emitting so much of my thoughts on a day-to-day basis to it. But once I did it, I didn’t think about it again," she tells RealSelf about her tummy tuck.
Veronica and Dayna are just two of the four wives who don't hold anything back on the TLC special, alongside Alana Sands, wife of Kevin Sands, and Frances Marque, Dr. Ryan Stanton's ex-wife. While the two make it clear they aren't encouraging the world to go under the knife, they do want to make sure people know what options are available for them to help them feel beautiful and confident.
"I just want to empower people and help them make the best decision," Dayna says.
Despite the total craziness (and drama!) that we'll see Sunday night, we respect these women for telling their stories -- much like the RealSelf community does every single day -- with no filter or blush, whatsoever.
Watch the preview above and make sure to tune in to Plastic Wives on TLC, Sunday, January 27th at 10/9 CT.
