Microdermabrasion With Photofacial Works Better

I am feeling like a human experiment lately as I try to help you decide what treatments work best for your face. Mine has a lot of sun damage, so the usual creams produce some result, but nothing compared to what I'd like. About twenty years ago, I had an eye job and about fifteen years ago I had a browlift, both of which are still working, so now it's a question of wrinkles, discolorations, and tightening.
For the past few years, I've been having combinations of microdermabrasion (which doesn't hurt at all, takes about a half hour, and sloughs off dead layers of skin) and photofacials, which take twenty minutes and remove hyper-pigmentation and broken capillaries. Yesterday being a Monday, and me having an hour free, I checked into my local Radiance Medspa, where I've been having my work done, and quickly dropped $850 on a "special" package of two microdermabrasions and photofacials. I had the first 1+1 yesterday, and I will save the other for six months from now.
I walked out a little red, but really smooth and line-free. It's amazing how much these treatments actually do for the skin.
The problem is, we all go out in the sun, we all absorb the pollutants around us in our skin, and I know the recurring expense of these things I do on your behalf [grin] postpone my retirement.
The aeshtetician who did my treatments yesterday told me the medspa was getting a new kind of handle for their laser: it's called the ActiveFX and they believe it tightens as well as getting rid of wrinkles. Our readers, however, do not always agree. If you are considering this treatment, look here:http://www.realself.com/active-fx-laser.
