62 year old female. 2 yrs ago injected my tear troughs with Bellafill. Results were noticeable immediately but not over time. In August of this year I went to a different provider and had full face Morpheus8 done including my undereye area. After 5-6 weeks I had huge swollen under eyes that were extremely painful and hard to the touch. Prescribed prednisone for 5 days which decreased swelling. 2 days post prednisone my under eyes are worse than ever. What happened and what can I do?
I am very happy with the immediate results, but as each day goes by, the swelling goes down, so does the volume that I saw the first day. I understand that my body will absorb the collagen and therefore lose volume, but will my body eventually replace the same amount of collagen that I once had after the injections? Is it safe to say that my replaced volume will be the same as the one I received in the initial injections, or only a small portion will get replaced? What can I expect?
Had 3 syringes, 1 every 4 weeks for acne scars with No visible improvement. Sought out a plastic surgeon who recommended cheek volume to help. Had 5 syringes 5 days ago, 2 to each cheek and 1 to marionettes. I told my doc that each time around 5 days post, swelling goes down and I see no results. He said I should see the Filler for a month then I'll be making collagen. True to form, $6500 later, this morning 5 days later, bruised but swelling gone scars are back and I can't see any volume! How?
May 2018, Bellafill injected under eyes. Swelling under rt eye was immediate. Dr. injected a steroid, then tried to drain it twice with needle. She put me on a body steroid cream for under my eye 1 x a day and cephalexin thinking it was an infection. It was still there and now I swelled more under both eyes. She put me on a diff steroid cream that was for under eyes. Then, oral steroids on and off from July to Dec. 2 opinions from doctors-1.bleph w laser. Says filler was put into fat pad. Crep
I'm desperate advice. I had 1 syringe of bellafill placed in each tear trough 8 days ago.swelling seems to be getting worse instead of better.it looks like puffy sacs of fluid have formed. the swelling is also on my upper cheek area causing indents and making my cheeks look deformed . It's so bad that I can't leave the house. I would truly appreciate a honest opinion as the dr who injected me has no remorse. Also, a skin test was done and checked in 15 min before proceding with the bellafill.
I had one syringe of Bellafil in my tear trough area 7 weeks ago. I'm getting very concerned because I look worse than I did before the filler. I never had eye bags before the filler, now I do. I saw my doctor (board certified plastic surgeon) for a 4 week post op appointment and he said it was still swelling. I got a second opinion with an oculoplastic surgeon and he also said swelling. I just cannot think I am still swollen at 7 weeks? What are my options?
I got bellafill injections 7 weeks ago. There is now swelling under my eye, and a bump (which is bne underneath, not a lump). I was advised my fat pad may have been displaced. Is that possible from injections?
This was done 44 hours ago. The under eye swelling has gotten worse not better since procedure. Bruising is worse. I feel botched. And was initially told swelling was minimal and would be gone by now. I start a new job in 4 days!
I got Bellafill 2 yrs ago. Three months later I developed pain and swelling. This resolved except for occasional flareups, but since that first episode my cheeks have looked too big (they looked perfect before that). I know 5FU/kenalog can help but are they long-term solutions? If my immune system overreacted to the product before, what's to stop it from happening again? And if the problems do recur, can they be successfully treated the same way again?
