A word about male breast reductions…
Women aren’t the only ones having cosmetic procedures – in this day and age men are paying close attention to their appearance too.
Gynecomastia is a medical term that comes from the Greek words for women-like breasts. Though this condition is rarely talked about, it's actually quite common. Gynecomastia affects an estimated 40 to 60 percent of men. It may affect only one breast or both. For men who feel self-conscious about their appearance, breast-reduction surgery can help. The procedure removes fat and or glandular tissue from the breasts and in extreme cases removes excess skin, resulting in a chest that is flatter, firmer, and better contoured.
To some it may seem like an excessive procedure, but for he who has been embarrassed at the pool, made fun of in gym class growing up, or spent countless hours worrying on a first date – it is entirely worth it.
Male breast reductions are common because men are becoming more body conscious also like women. Whatever the reason, it is completely understandable that men too want to feel good about their appearance and be secure in their own skin.
