Why a Tummy Tuck can be a fresh breath of life and energy for new Moms in Marin County
Being a new mom is a tall order, and no one knows that better than the many great moms here in our Marin County community. No matter how much you prepare, you’re going to be tested with a lot of stress, and ultimately the unique pleasure of raising a child. But you’re also going to go through a lot of body changes. This is a natural part of the process, and one that all moms know well. Putting weight on during pregnancy is easy. Getting it off after? Well, that’s a much tougher hill to climb. Even the most active, healthy moms out there will see certain changes to their body that they may not like. This is where a Tummy Tuck (or abdominoplasty) procedure at our Santa Rosa, Marin County office comes in. We can help.

How a Tummy Tuck can bring you new energy, just months after childbirth
The first few months, if not year or two after childbirth, can be the most rewarding, and the most stressful. And this is an effect you can both see and feel on your body. There’s so much to do, so much to learn, and as a mom your job is selfless. Sometimes, it can be overwhelming, and cost you a lot in terms of self-esteem, self-motivation, and energy. This is why we think it’s a great time to try our Santa Rosa, Marin County Tummy Tuck procedure. We can see you almost immediately after pregnancy to do a thorough review, and find out what will best fit your body type and desired shape.

We can give you your energy back by making your body look and feel young again, as well as removing excess fat from your midsection, and adjusting and removing the excess skin that surrounds it. Even if you exercise daily after pregnancy, often times there is a level of fat and skin that just won’t go away. We can help fix this problem, and give you more time to be yourself, and be with your new baby.

How our Tummy Tuck procedure works
Like all of the procedures we perform at our Marin County practice, we start with a thorough evaluation to find out how to best serve you. We look at your problem areas, and plan our surgery around this, and your desired results. During the procedure, we typically make one incision low on your abdominal area. These incisions will run the length of your midsection, hip to hip. The scar is low enough to be under your bikini line and is not very visible in almost any outfit.
Once the skin and underlying muscle tissue has been tightened, we pull the skin flap over the area and re-attach it to make a tighter, leaner abdominal section. We then re-attach the navel to match the new shape and contour, for both comfort and aesthetics.

As a new mom, you deserve to do something good for yourself, and your self-esteem
As a new mom, we understand that almost all of your focus will be on your new child, and that’s a beautiful thing. We also know that you deserve to do something for yourself; something that will make you fell refreshed, and look great. Start your new life on top, and be proud of being the strong woman and mother that you are.
