Real Housewife of New Jersey Fixes Breast Implants
On July 8, 2010, MSNBC.com reported that Danielle Staub of the Real Housewives of New Jersey recently had corrective surgery to address breast asymmetry caused by uneven implants. Her issue was that one breast was larger and higher than the other.
If your breasts are a bit less than symmetrical, you’re actually in the majority. 90% of women have asymmetrical breasts. While some are barely noticeable, others are anywhere from one to three cup sizes different.
Asymmetry can be caused by:
• Nature (and appear in puberty)
• Specific medical problems (Poland’s Syndrome, for instance, causes people to have one average breast and one breast that completely lacks muscle, breast tissue and sometimes even a nipple)
• Breast-feeding can cause one breast to become smaller or sag
• Cosmetic surgery complications such as an implant complication like Danielle Staub had
While asymmetry is more common than not, it can still affect some women’s self-esteem. The good news is that corrective surgery is now quite affordable. So, if you want to even out your breasts, it’s very doable.
And if you don’t want to bother, that’s fine too; Men don’t seem to mind.
