Platelet Rich Plasma also contain specific identifiable growth factors that when “activated” promote healthy tissue regeneration.  The patient’s own blood is utilized and the platelet rich plasma is separated in a centrifuge. Local anesthesia is administered to the scalp so the patient feels very little discomfort or pain. The platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the area of the scalp where hair loss or thinning is noticeable. Micro-needling of the scalp can also be added in conjunction with the injections. The patient may drive home without any assistance. No sedation or any medication is given during the procedure to inhibit the ability to drive or use machinery.  3 sessions is needed to achieve best results.
