Post-Pregnancy Procedures
Mommy makeover is one of the most popular procedures in my St. Louis office. After childbirth and breastfeeding, many women find that their post-baby bodies are vastly different than they were pre-pregnancy. Stretched skin now hangs loose, once voluminous breasts sag and look deflated, abdominal muscles have separated, and excess weight has built up in the lower body, resisting diet and exercise. A mommy makeover is a combination of procedures done as one surgery, to address the specific needs of the patient. The surgery can include (but isn’t limited to) a tummy tuck, breast lift and/or augmentation, liposuction, and labiaplasty. I also offer Viveve, a noninvasive radiofrequency therapy that helps stimulate collagen to tighten the vagina without surgery.
Breast Surgery
Cosmetic breast procedures account for more than half of the procedures performed at my practice in St. Louis. I average over 260 breast augmentation procedures per year, with or without a breast lift. Many of my patients, who come from throughout the Missouri and Illinois region, choose to have other procedures to be performed at the same time. This may include a tummy tuck, liposuction, body lift, arm lift or thigh lift procedure. During a consultation at my practice, we currently use a 3D imaging device and prosthetic sizing, to help patients to find the optimal breast implant size for them. Most of my patients opt for the newest generation silicone gel implant. These implants are more cohesive and form stable, which lowers the risks of rippling, rupture and gel migration in the event of a leak. I feel it's very important for me to listen to my patient's expectations for their ultimate size and shape, and to help guide them in making the right decision.
