Arm Lift + Swelling Q&A

I was in tight arm garments until today. Now in a bra with sleeves garment but it is not tight on the upper arms...comfortable. The swelling in my forearms and hands has been severe. Not in alot of pain and generally feeling good and opitmistic. Could this be due to any nerve damage? I'm trying not to scare myself too much and am thinking I had a big procedure done and just need time to heal...this is a side effect of my healing process...2 to 3 month mark I should not be swollen like this.

I just had an arm lift procedure and my plastic surgeon does not believe in compression garments and I only have paper bandages on the incisions. My arms have swelled only slightly and are somewhat black and blue. But other than that everything seems fine so far only four days out Im concerned about the lack of compression garments to keep the swelling down and why he choose not to use them.

I am concerned about prolonged forearm swelling after Brachioplasty. I have been wearing my compression garment for almost 6 months, is it ever going to go away?

I am 12 days out from arm lift surgery. The scale is higher. And my pants feel tighter. Should only my arms be swollen or is it normal to be swelling everywhere. Is this true weight gain or should I be depressed?

I had a brachioplasty 5 weeks ago. I know there is still swelling. The underneath of my arms still shake when I move them. If enough skin was removed, wouldn't this area be tighter even though I am still healing. I had a tummy tuck and I could see the dog ears early in the healing process and this never went away. Will the shaking of the arms subside? I do see improvement with the arms but feel more should have been removed.

its been 4 months. the arms look great but they are still swollen and tender to the touch. i can feel when they are swelling and getting tight. especially with temperature change. any sugestions or coments are appreciated. thank you Update: Dr. Neinstein, you said prolonged swelling could be a sign of other things. What do you mean by this?What else could the problem be?

Im 9 months post op after arm lift, is it quite normal to feel swelling and tightness still after this period of time?

Hi, I had lipo and bilateral arm lift 5 days ago. My problem is that my arms are still very large and still kind of hanging. Will they get smaller and tighter or is this size the end result. I know I will have swelling and afraid that after the swelling goes down.. My arms will be even more lose. I had a 14 in around arm and now a 12 inch around. I'm just afraid they are not tight enough and my be worse after the swelling goes down. Please offer some advice, thanks!
