So I'm 2 and half weeks post op (arm lift) I have noticed a hard lump under the incision ... good old Google says it could be a seroma. My question is will it go on its own or would I need to see my surgeon. Also is it actually a seroma? I'm not due to see her until late 3 months but I am seeing the nurse tomorrow for a wound check.
Hello. I had brachioplasty 4 weeks ago today. I have a stubborn seroma that I've had drained 4 times now. I can't keep missing work to go get it drained. Should I just lay low and give it time? Also, the skin around the seroma is puckered and unsightly. Will this correct itself as the seroma goes down, or will this require removal? Third, I have 2 open wounds on the upper part of my arm. I'm having a tough time getting them to scab. Any suggestions on how to help it heal more quickly? Thanks in advance!
Im concerned with the overall contour of my brachioplasty but more so with the LARGE lump. It's hot to touch but does not have much redness. I'm wondering if it's just localized swelling, considering gravity and the proximity to my elbow. Or if it is a seroma/hematoma that would need draining? How do I tell the difference? What are the thoughts of the overall contour? I feel like it's uneven and also much too large and droopy still. Thanks.
1 month post op and have had this drained 6 times already. Then injected with Kenakort 3 times. I had surgery in Columbia and live in the states. I've been in contact with my Doctor and he said to keep draining it and compress and eventually my body will absorb. It's hard and semi-painful, sensitive. Any other suggestions? I feel like it's cacooned already!
