Hi, my surgery was 7 weeks ago. My right forearm hurts, I can stretch my arm completely but it hurts when I do.. like it is pulling from the wrist to the elbow (inner part). Also, I bought a compression garment and it feels comfortable on the upper and lower side of arm but in the middle seems to press and it makes this pain worse. Do you think maybe it is too tight? or should I just wear it until I get used to it? Thanks.
I had brachioplasty with lipo 4 weeks. I still wear the compression sleeves at night per MD instructions. I have been having painful posterior forearms, wrist and hands for the last 2 weeks. It feels as if someone has pull the tendons in my forearms across the room. I thought it was the sleeves and left them for 24 hours but they are still painful. I consulted my MD office and they said they hadn't of someone having this before. Is this normal?
I continue to have extreme nerve sensitivity and irritation more than 5 weeks after surgery. Also have burning pain along incisions. My surgeon says it will go away but I expected more improvement by now (and this issue developed a couple days after surgery). At what point do I seek other answers? Needing constant compression to have any relief, frustrating since I didnt get this surgery to have my arms constantly covered.
For the past few days the brachioplasty scar on my left arm is feeling very tight, especially when I'm sleeping, is this normal? A little background - I had brachioplasty in December followed two weeks later by emergency surgery to reopen my left arm to treat acute compartment syndrome which caused nerve damage (brachioplexus injury) - that's healing but the crushing pain has recently returned as well. Scars are hypertrophic scars and I've had steroid injections, last one was two months ago.
1 month post op and have had this drained 6 times already. Then injected with Kenakort 3 times. I had surgery in Columbia and live in the states. I've been in contact with my Doctor and he said to keep draining it and compress and eventually my body will absorb. It's hard and semi-painful, sensitive. Any other suggestions? I feel like it's cacooned already!
I had a brachioplasty done a little over 2 months ago and it still hurts. Some days are worse than others. My arms still feel sore, I have shooting pain at times, and it sometimes feels like little pins sticking me. I saw the doctor about this. He said I should not be in pain still and there is nothing he can do. Is there anything that can be done or anything I can take to releave the pain? Also, since the doctor said I should not be in any pain still, I'm wondering why it still hurts.
I still have sagging arm skin. I was really surprised that more had not been taken off. It also left me with a round poof at the edge of both of my elbows. It swells up and becomes painful during exercise. At my post op appointments I asked my surgeon about it and they said it would go down with time. It never did. Is this the best result or can either of these issues be fixed? Will I need to redo the entire arm lift or are there alternatives?
