Venous reflux disease vs Lymphedema
I have chronically swollen legs, right more than left (unequal) and does not involve my feet. It is relieved by leg elevation. What is the most common cause for this?
Venous reflux disease.
When the feet are involved and they look like "pillow feet and sausage toes", the swelling is due to lymphedema. Lymphedema is not commonly relieved with leg elevation. Sweling due to venous reflux disease is releved by leg elevation.
