I took accutane as a teenager & it cleared up for the most part but since I have entered my 40s Im breaking out. its mild to moderate mostly comedonal acne but its chronic. I tried spironolactone forb2 months &I lost half my hair Im using a lot of active products: benzoyl peroxide diferin , tazorac and plaxion wash which I think is all too much. My acne is persistent though. Should I try it at my age? Is it dangerous? Could I lose My hair? How effective is it? Could My migraines get worse?
Hello, Ive been on Accutane for over 5 months so far, I am currently over half way through my 6th month. The dosages were/are as follow: 40mg-80mg-80mg-80mg-120mg-120mg(currently). Ive also been on prednisone (20mgs) twice throughout my Accutane course, it was 3 pills for 5 days, 2 pills for 5 days, and finally one pill a day for 5 days during month 4/6. The prednisone basically cleared my acne both time, but it always comes back. I am a 19 year old male weighing around 185lbs at 64. Jawline/under chin and forehead acne mostly/back/chest/arms acne.
I'm a three sport athlete. Just finished 6 months of accutane. I held in there with all the side effects and am very pleased with the outcomes. I have a dance in three weeks and was wondering how long it takes for the side effect of dry, peeling lips to go away. Also, i have always been a very red person which has become even more frustrating because of accutane since it is now effecting my entire body (arms, legs, feet, hands, face, everywhere). How long until that side effect starts to fade?
