I first started this May and just stop this October. Starting from 10mg a day for a month, then 20mg a day for second, 30mg for next month, and last 2 months i took 40mg a day. Overall, my acne is improved much better from 10-20 active inflammatory acne to none in last 2 months of course. However, it is been a month since i stop. Some acne starting to comeback. 2-3 that I found, and also oily face too. The scar is the same maybe even noticeable than before. Should I continue? Btw, I am 60kg.
i am coming near the end of my accutane treatment. i weigh 51kg (roughly 112 lbs) and am on 50mg. my course is complete in 2 weeks. i am still breaking out in cysts, and my chin is covered in white heads that are deep in the skin. is accutane just not working for me? or can i expect it to clear even after my course is done?
I am a 21 year old male, weigh 155lbs and am 4.5 months into my accutane course. My back has 100% cleared up but my neck and chest are still breaking out in cystic pimples. What am I doing wrong? I eat healthy, exercise, shower and wash my face twice a day, I'm taking the pills with high fat meals. I'm getting pretty depressed because I feel like it will never work. My dosage so far has been month 1: 40mg per day, month 2: 60mg per day, month3: 70mg per day, month 4: 80mg per day, month 5: 80mg per day.
I have got severe acne on my back.. I took a course of isotretenoin and left after 5months taking medicine due to some family problem.. My face got pimple free but my backacne didn't subside.. Should i take isotretenoin again ? What if i take it for another 4months ? As after that i am getting married. Doctor please help me.
I've been on accutane for 5 month 1-2=20 mg 3-5=40 mg & I still have 2 month on 40 mg to go ill be done with a total dose that put me in the 120-150 mg/kg. Since Nov my skin has been totally clear minus maybe 1-2 pimple due to hormone -female 20yrs old 52 kg. But since entering my 5 month my face has been breaking out a lot! My face looks like pre accutane time. Is this normal, do some ppl experience this and still clear up in the end, is the med not efficient no more? On diane35 since 6 month.
I was on roaccutane for 6 months for 50 mg a day because of acne I suffered from really bad chapping of the lips although I am only 21 and male so I probably complain about it more than I should! But I've been off the medication now for nearly 5 months Now the line on my lower lip which separates the wet part of the oral mucosa from the front facing normal skin is dry and scaly. The oral mucosa directly behind the line is sticky to touch. I don't think you would call this chapped lips.
I am 5 months post accutane and have dry skin on my face. It looks as if it needs to peel i.e. the outer layer looks dehydrated. It also has a slight brownish colour all over, maybe from sensitivity to the sun that I am even now still experiencing, but that has been improving. The skin especially around my temples, where the skin is thin, now has large pores and this weird grainy texture. I think that it might be from all the excessive peeling while on the meds. How can I improve this texture?
Hello, I've been on Accutane for 5 months (60mg dose) with one month remaining. My acne has cleared, unfortunately leaving a lot of red spots (post-inflammatory erythema). I understand this process takes a long time to heal, and I've been sticking to my normal moisturizers, cleansers whilst on this drug. I was just wondering if weightlifting/ moderate to high-intensity exercise exacerbates my condition of post-inflammatory erythema or does it have no effect.
