1 out of 5 stars Breast Reconstruction with Latissimus Flap

Bc Survivor with Radiation

No knowledgable reconstruction after radiation. Will say anything to get you to believe. Had seen him for breast reconstruction after a bmx with radiation. At first seemed very knowledgeable and good. He had convinced me to do reconstruction using the ld flap procedure on one side and direct to implant on the other. Have had total flap failure with an open wound that is not healing. On the other side the implant is sitting below my sternum. Any time I had asked about or told him that I was having a problem he would either leave the room or tell me it would go away with time. After being hospitalized for complications from the surgery was told by the doctors that are now involved that he should not of done the procedure due to my medical conditions and that close to radiation. I am now facing permanent chronic pain and additional surgery to correct what damage they can.
