I have an upper arm tattoo that is roughly 6.5 inches length and 3.5 height. I am interested in large tattoo surgical excision. I know I would need multiple excisions. Is it likely that skin grafts or tissue expanders would be required for this size? Would a plastic surgeon with burn specialty be the best option for this? FYI- please absolutely no laser recommendations. I am 100% not getting laser. I am not concerned about scarring. Price is neither a determinant nor prohibitive.
A few years ago I had to get a skin graph and they took skin off my leg to put on my arm and I really wanted to get it covered up in black and white as I dont like colour tattoos Ive been told it should be okay but I just want someone elses thoughts
The cosmetic tattooing was done to blend in a big pigmentation mark. Q switched yag laser has taken it down to a pale aqua, but cant remove the aqua colour. Should I get a plastic surgeon to do dermabrasion? A skin graft? Please help me - What should I do? When I cover it up with make up it looks like a big bruise!.
Hi, I have a tattoo on my upper left arm (~5-6 length & width) in black ink. I went for six sessions of laser tattoo removal which left me with hypopigmentation (I'm dark-skinned) and the ink still visible, albeit faded. What would be the next best option? I have been looking into skin grafting. Thanks in advance! I just want this thing removed for good. I'm prepared for a scar, because I'm going to have one either way.
I got this tattoo a while ago. I dont mind it but the issue is that Im severely allergic to nickel. I didnt know that the ink my artist used had nickel in it. Laser removal places wont take me bc of my allergy, and I dont want laser removal bc it takes years, during which Id be reacting to the allergen in my bloodstream, and theres no guarantee it leaves the body. Is staged exicison, possibly combined w skin graft, possible? I dont mind scars. Tattoo is 6 in across
