CONTACT NOW Answer: Cost of Tattoo removal Dear Bohlendl, Thank you very much for your question. Most clinics will charge on the size of the tattoo and number of sessions you require to have it removed. The amount of sessions will be determined by how old the tattoo is, what colour it is, what ink was used and how deep in the dermis is the pigment. A face to face consultation should give you a more accurate response. Wishing you all the best

Answer: Cost of tattoo removal Cost of tattoo removal Typical cost will range from $50 to $500. The cost of tattoo removal in our practice varies on the size, location, and type of tattoo. The cost also depends on what type of technique is utilized (R0, R20). We don’t charge for anesthetics/ nitrous (great for sensitive patients)/ zimmer chiller/ etc. Other considerations While you can save money per session with outdated technology (less powerful Pico lasers are not as effective since they do not create enough impact to break up the tattoo), ultimately patients will require additional techniques In our practice we utilize the currently most powerful Pico laser on the market called the PiQo4 by Lumenis. The main advantage of a stronger tattoo laser (combining nano and pico wavelengths at greater power) is faster breakup of the tattoo. The science of tattoo removal is complex but essentially the greater power will photo acoustically break up tattoo particles in smaller pieces.

Answer: Tattoo removal has improved remarkably in the last few years with new technology I have been performing tattoo removal since 1992 and have not seen any major advances in effectiveness or efficiency of treatment until technology changed a few years ago with pico lasers, and now the pico lasers offer multiple wavelengths allowing us to treat multicolored tattoos better than previously. There is also new technology that may help improve the elimination of pigment started by the laser.Depending on the office one sees, and the city in which they're treated, the laser used, whether it is a medical staff member or physician that does the treatment, the cost of laser tattoo removal may vary. In our practice, only the doctor treats patients with lasers. We have nano and pico second lasers such as Q-switched ruby and Nd Yag (neodynium-yag) lasers and two picosure lasers with 532nm., 755nm. and 1064nm. wavelengths.I see my patients personally in consultation to ensure that they are a candidate for laser tattoo removal and then the tattoo(s)'s surface area is measured which determines the price per session. No doctor can guarantee the number of necessary treatments which are done 4-6 weeks apart, nor can it be guaranteed that all of the pigment will disappear but many patients do get close to complete clearing and the overwhelming majority are happy with their results. The number of treatments can depend on the skin type of the patient, density of tattoo particles, color of dye, and age of tattoo. It can take as many as 10 or more treatments or as little as a few to get a good result. There are risks with any cosmetic treatment, including laser tattoo removal, so please see a board certified physician who has a great deal of experience before allowing anyone to treat your precious skin.
