  • How Much You Spend on a Rhinoplasty Depends on How Much Work You Need Done

Hi. It's Dr. Nassif. I'm answering questions that get sent to us all the time and one of the questions that we get asked all the time is, "What is the cost for rhinoplasty?" And let me break this down in two different types, primary and revision rhinoplasty, and I usually don't discuss this with patients but let me just give you some overviews on what to expect.

First of all, we're in Beverly Hills and there's a lot of doctors that do rhinoplasty and you can get a rhinoplasty including operating room, anesthesia, the surgeon fee for maybe as low as $6,000 or $7,000. And you have to be careful and you have to make sure you go into a board certified facial plastic surgeon or a plastic surgeon. You have to make sure their specialty is rhinoplasty. And it also depends on how much time they take in the operating room. An average primary rhinoplasty which basically means making it smaller but at the same time making it functionally stronger takes me about a good three to four hours. Most of the time, we're performing open rhinoplasties and rhinoplasties can range from, in general when they come to my office, anywhere between $12,000 and $16,000. That includes the operating room, anesthesia and surgeon time.

And it really depends on what is needed with the nose. Sometimes it can be more. Sometimes it can be a little less. Also Dr. Yoo who is in my office was my fellow three years ago. He's my new associate and his prices are a lot less than mine. And then we also have our fellow and this year we have Dr. Undavia. We have a fellow every year that I teach facial plastics to and by that last four, five months before they leave, they are actually performing rhinoplasties and their prices are even less than Dr. Yoo. So it's almost kind of [inaudible 00:01:45], from here to here to here.

But what's really important about that is and the reason why I have Dr. Yoo join me is patients were coming to my office saying, "Dr. Nassif, you know we know you have a reputation but we can't afford you, so what do we do?" So what was happening as some patients were maybe not getting the best job and then having to come back to me for a revision, so I thought especially that I found someone that I thought was fantastic and it's Dr. Yoo, and my fellows who are taught by me, and their prices are a lot better than mine so at least I know that you're in good hands. But basically you get what you pay for is really the simplest answer to this.
