David Amron: Body contouring is another term that is used for liposuction surgery. It's a euphemism. It's a way of making liposuction sound more artistic. Yes, this is body contouring. Another term is liposculpture, and it really is a contouring procedure; it's not just about sucking the fat out. And I do like that term body contouring, because it brings about the aspect of artistry and the proper contours you are creating, because it is sculpting, it is contouring. And there is a lot of artistry, there's a lot of perfect judgment that's needed in terms of where to target, where to be aggressive, where to not be aggressive, how to blend things, how do deal with the skin.
It is a blind contouring and sculpting procedure between the skin and the muscle layer itself, and it has to be done very, very precisely. So, I think it's a fair term, body contouring. But don't just be taken in by this aspect of body contouring. Look for the skills, the judgment, the experience - ideally the specialization of the surgeon itself in terms of getting a perfect result.
