Dr. Rick here, a plastic surgeon in Scottsdale. I'm gonna answer a question today that I get all the time. I really, really have to answer for people when they can fly after they've had plastic surgery.

The short answer to this is it depends on how complex your procedure is. For smaller procedures, many people can fly within days to a week of their surgery. For more complex procedures, generally patients can't fly for one to two weeks.

It really just depends on the operation that you're having. The biggest thing that I really like for patients to do is to be getting up and walking around every hour to prevent blood clots. But in general, most everyone can fly within two weeks of surgery. Hope this helps. Have a great day.
