Dr. Scott T. Guenthner: Clinical trials offer patients a lot of opportunities. Number one, we do clinical trials that are basically early onset clinical trials—what are called “phase two and three clinical trials”—those trials that are on medications and treatments that haven’t even come to the market.

So that allows us to offer cutting-edge technology and cutting-edge opportunities for our patients. For those who have diseases that are difficult to treat, but also those who may not have the finances to be able to utilize some of the more expensive treatments that are out there.

One of the best ways to do it is to go to ClinicalTrials.gov. They have a lot of clinical trials that are online. Simply by searching for a specific disease such as psoriasis, then basically searching in your local area, you can identify those individuals who do those clinical trials.
