Well, anything is that we now offer all these new options for treating resistant fat that will not go away doing exercise or trying diet. One of the newest ones we have is something called Vanquish and that is a focused radio frequency device. So what that is is a large applicator that we place over the abdomen, it doesn't quite touch the abdomen, it's about this far apart. We leave it on for 30 to 45 minutes, supervised and the room, and what happens is it will gently heat fat and it will make the fat actually go into a state where it starts to dissolve. But it's a very slow process and a very safe process. It's similar to using the Criolipolisis or the coal that kills the fat cells and then makes it slowly go away.

This is using very gentle heating. The big advantage is that we can treat very, very large areas at one time. So it's not having to apply a little applicator here and a little applicator there. We can put it over the entire abdomen. Typically results are seen within the first two or three treatments. The treatment regimen for Vanquish involves typically anywhere from 4 to 6 treatments. Sometimes we do a longer treatment if we want to have fewer treatments so we can do 4 treatments of 45 minutes or we can do 6 treatments of 30 minutes. Some patients want to see faster results but the new thing is typically within 2 to 4 weeks, you start to see results with Vanquish and the exciting thing is that we have new applicators in developing right now that will allow us to treat around the thighs, around the arms. We see lots of new developments over the next few years in non-evasive fat removal.
