Hi, my name is Dr. Paul Nassif. I'm answering blog questions and a question from Saint Louis, Missouri from Steve came in, "At what age can revision rhinoplasty be performed? I'm 17 years old and I had a rhinoplasty when I was 16 and I think it's too big."

So this is n regards to revision rhinoplasty. First of all, for a primary, the minimum age is 15 for a young lady and 16 for a male. That's assuming that there's no real growth spurts going to come in place. But for a revision, so let's look at those numbers. If a young lady had their surgery at 15, the earliest depending on really what the issue would be would be 16 and for male, it would be 17. But in general, it really depends on what's happening with the nose, what the issues are, what the health of the patient is and the overall age. But generally we like to wait a good year before we do revision. Thank you.

Is There an Age Limit For Revision Rhinoplasty?

If you've had a rhinoplasty procedure before and are unhappy with the results, Dr. Paul Nassif says that a revision rhinoplasty can correct the issues you are not satisfied with. But how young is too young to have a revision rhinoplasty?
