"What should I do to prepare for a facelift?" Great question. First of all, get in great shape. You want to make sure you're nourished, have a lot of protein. You want to make sure your skin is great. Obviously not smoking, drinking a lot of fluids, protein, avoid for two weeks before anything that's going to make you bleed and there's a lot of herbs, aspirin, motrin, advil, caffeine, alcohol, which can make you bleed a little bit. So we want to do this at least two weeks before. For smoking, four to six weeks. You want to make sure that you have your medical clearance, whatever the doctor recommends. You want to follow all the preoperative guidelines for the doctor, whatever they recommend for you, and you want to make sure you take enough time off of work, you want to have everything set up at home for you, you want to make sure the caregiver is going to be there and everything is organized. You want to make your life simple.
So that's the most important thing you do so you have no stress after your surgery and you know everything is on target.
