I got the peel and everything seemed to be going great. I used only gentle cleanser and the protectant morning and night. Now on 7th day my skin is red, painful to the touch and so much texture and tiny bumps that look like they might become whiteheads. My skin was also VERY shiny right after peeling. There is also a small chance I'm allergic to benzoyl peroxide, but this is just me taking a guess. I'm going to try and get back to Dr ASAP, but is there anything I should be doing/not doing?
I had a Vi peel done 4 days ago and started to notice significant swelling around my mouth area about 72 hours after the peel. The skin had already shed away and now my new skin underneath is all swollen to the point where I can't open my mouth. It's so swollen my skin is starting to crack. I tried the hydrocortisone cream and it has done nothing to help. Is this normal and how long should this last? Is this an allergy and if so could it be to the peel or the hydrocortisone cream?
I am latina (tan skin) and I am planning to have a VI Peel done in couple of weeks. I had acne and now, I mainly want to get rid of the acne scars. I found out 2 years ago that I was allergic to sulfa (while taking sulfa pills to relieve a kidney infection). Below is a picture of my face and the marks I have wearing makeup. Can an VI procedure can go wrong ?
I got a Vi Peel done yesterday around 12 pm, everything was going well until today around 4 pm when my face started getting itchy when I looked in the mirror my face was developing a rash. Could be an allergic reaction to the peel? Before 4pm I got a massage, I was wondering if by laying face down that could have had cause the rash? the MT used aromatherapy oil of mint and rosemary on the face rest cover, it burned when I placed my face on it. As soon as I saw the rash I applied hydrocortisone.
I had a vi peel and botox one week ago. After about 3 days, my eyelids were red and swollen and sagging. My doctor was out of town for three days. When I saw her, she said it was an allergic reaction to the vi peel (she did apply it to my eyelids), and prescribed prednisone. I haven't read anything suggesting an allergic reaction like that to the vi-peel. I think it could have been a reaction to the botox. Please give any suggestions.
