Hi Amy... I really feel for you. I feel the same when I look in the mirror. If I wear loads of make up then it does disguise it a little but I am not used to wearing so much. I am sure our old selves will come back ...we just need to look on the positive side. Let me know how your doing. Steph

Hi Amy I can understand you.. I really wish I hadnt had botox. The swelling seems to have gone down a bit but I still have larger bags under my eyes which is making me look tired and haggard. I have always had some kind of bags but I think with the injection under my eye has definately made them more noticeable. I feel a lot older at the moment and I am wearing lots more make up to try and conceal it. Have you been back to your doctor for his opinion and if so, what did he say? Keep me informed. Steph x

Hi Amy.. Thanks for your reply... He didnt really say how long it would take for the bags to disappear other than they would. I am not doing anything to help with the bags other than I have bought a good camoflage concealer which seems to help a little. I think we will have to wait for the botox to actually wear off for the bags to get less prominent. Would you have botox again??? The second opinion doctor said that next time it would be better to have the injections a little higher up... but I am not too sure whether I want to chance it or not:-). Wishing you the best and please keep me informed of your progress. Steph x

Hi Amy... Yes this is my first treatment. I had the treatment done in Germany. I actually went for a second opinion the other day to a different doctor. I think he was saying if I had the botox a little higher up then I wouldnt have so protuding bags. He also said that my doctor shouldnt have made an injection underneath my eye.. just solely around the sides. I am happy that most of my crows feet lines are gone but it is means that I have protuding bags then I wont have it done again. My smile is ok.. it is when I dont smile my eyes look worse, although when I do smile there seems to be more wrinkles...but that I can put up with...its the dark circles and bags that are getting me down. I am just hoping and praying they will go down once the botox starts wearing off. Hope everyone else is seeing improvements with theirs.

Hi.. I have read all your postings.. as I feel really down at the moment and pleased I have found this board. I had botox 4 days ago and have just incurred swelling and bruising underneath my eyes. It looks like I have really dark circles and bags...please reassure me all be back to normal after the botox has worn off. :-((
