I spent those 4 years examining every kind of detox program I could find and did those things that I was most comfortable with. I focused on things I could do at home and that were natural. I started with juice fasting and colonics, with the supervision of a naturopath. Then we did amalgam removal and chelation therapy (after doing some testing to find out which metals I was testing high in..I had mercury and aluminum.) He recommended coffee enemas, which I objected to at first, but after my first one and seeing results, I've continued to do those. I used herbal extracts to support my endocrine system, and immune system. I did ozone therapy. I did liver flushes. I practiced relaxation therapy and prayer and meditation, guided imagery and positive thoughts to get me through the brain fog. I changed my diet to get rid of all processed foods and sodas, hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, NO fake sugars ever, and used clean meats, no soy, raw milk dairy products, and organic fruits and vegetables. The things that I continued to do today because they were the most effective are fasting (water only for at least 3 days) and coffee enemas and eating right. By the way, even my Hashimoto's is cured at this point also, since I no longer have anti-TPO antibodies. I have no health concerns left from the implants. I am in menopause now though, and I am on bio-identical hormone therapy (estrogen, progesterone and testosterone) and they brought out my youthful, cheerful self once again. I love life once again. I think hormones are a severely neglected area in our healing.
Incredible...someone who never had implants, has never walked in our shoes, actually purports to be knowledgeable enough about our illnesses and conditions to give advice? To "Snap out of it"? This is exactly the kind of ignorance we have been dealing with all along. It's an immune system issue, honey, not an attitude adjustment. Please, get off your high and arrogant horse and come down to the real world of the suffering and neglected. You have no basis for offering these kind of worthless comments. None, until you've actually had implants and experience the illness for yourself.
Breast implants can cost you your health, your career, your job, your home, your financial security, your future, your children, your husband, your safety, your life savings, and your life. (I know women who have suffered in every one of these ways). Other than that, they cost several thousand dollars now, and many thousands in future operations.
She's telling the truth--all implants have silicone shells, and the body can react to THAT silicone. My body did. No one is completely out of the woods, no matter how long you've had the implants. Your immune system can react at any time.

I would suggest that you talk with other women who have been in your shoes, rather than to accept the answers of these plastic surgeons as the only credible answer. There are other answers from other experts that can help you. The symptoms that many women have experienced after having breast implants include excessive fatigue, pain, numbness and tingling in extremities, vision disturbances, cognitive decline and memory problems, inability to concentrate, flu-like symptoms, and more. These symptoms are stated on the inserts from the manufacturers of breast implants and also have been reported by women with breast implants to the FDA under their MedWatch program. There are several support groups on Yahoo and the Internet designed specifically to address the concerns you have as related to your health after having breast implants. The proof that we have is in the healing that we experience after the implants are removed. I am one such woman, who became sick after having implants, and got better by removing them. I found that the plastic surgeons I consulted were not the ones to help in this situation, as they remain unable to address our concerns appropriately. Other women who have walked in your shoes are a real source of help, so keep looking! You will find the right answers if you look in the right places! Many women do experience a return of health when implants are removed, and that is the bottom line for you.
