I think you look great. I can see the difference regarding the "tired look" you referred to. I have the same..recently I had Juvederm injections in my tear trough area with my plastic surgeon who specializes in all types of injections for face, so plenty of experience there. However, I bruised badly and was swollen for several weeks; it's been 3 months now, swelling has gone away, but still slight bruising; I have to use cover-up heavily. I always get botox in crows feet area and between brow every 3 months;really helps! I would never do juvederm again in tear trough. They need to come out with something else!!

I had Juvederm injections in my tear trough area 3 months ago and still have some minor bruising and swelling, but it continues to look a little better every day; I use plenty of cover-up and started taking Vitamin K along w/arnica montana pellets and gel. I am scheduled for a Lip Filler treatment tomorrow & my plastic surgeon suggested Prevelle, mainly because I bruise so easily. Do you think this is a good suggestion? If not, what would you recommend? I just want a little fullness, nothing exaggerated. Also, is numbing cream really necessary? Or is icing enough?
  • Posted to Horrible Results from Juvederm Under Eye Injections! on 21 Oct 2009

It's been 7 weeks to the day since my Juvederm injections under my eyes. It is finally smooth but that "blue" bruising still shows slightly; need lots of make-up and cover up to hide it; then it gets all caked up during the day! It started to get much better when I placed warm/hot wash cloth on my eyes twice/day for about 10min; then, gently rub Arnica Gel under your eyes smoothing out the puffiness. It really worked. I am pleased with the results I have; I bruise easily and I have had eye lid surgery in 1996 which made my skin very thin under my eyes;so, I had a higher risk of bruising. Massaging with the Arnica Gel will help with the "pillows"...and warm wet compresses for the bruising. good luck girls....

Hi. Can anyone tell me how long it took for your bruising to go away completely under the eyes? Tear trough area. It's been 3 weeks + for me and it is still showing slightly. Also one side is a little puffier than the other. I go back on wed. for my plastic surgeon to check on this. May have to inject the "other" stuff that smooths it out. I hope not...

If your syringe charge was $550 it was definitely one syringe or you got a real deal! My one syringe was $565 of Juvederm; I used this in the Tear Trough area and Lips. I don't think there was enough left for a full lip area but the results were great anyway. It is very smooth and the wrinkles are gone! I would go back for more lip filler. I never had any bruising or swelling in the lip area. However the tear trough is swollen and bruised. Takes about 2 wks to look right I have been told.
