Is there any way to correct the outcome? Was your original surgeon board certified in plastic surgery? I pray for your full recovery.
Even if your doctor made you sign a gag order, I doubt that he could enforce it. About the area that is raised and itchy, it sounds to me like it is becoming scar tissue. I also got the impression that my doctor was rushed. The sutures were sloppy and looked very different on both sides!
One thing that I find very frustrating is that some doctors now do not want to show pictures of procedures that they have performed. They use the excuse of patient privacy laws. The problem with that is that you don't know what kind of results to expect. For instance, I did not expect to have raised scars behind my ears. I have had surgeries in other parts of my body in the past and I never had raised scars. My sister did not have raised scars after her facelift. I was surprised and disappointed at the quality of the sutures!
What kind of facelift did you have? Was it the threadlift? That's where only threads are used to lift the face.
It has been a little over a year after my procedure and I'm sorry that it has taken so long to get back to this discussion. Although these indentations have totally gone away (they went away after about 3 months), I do have a very slight indentation on the upper part near my cheekbone. It is hardly noticeable, except to me. However, I do have raised scars in the back of both my ears and need scar revision surgery. I will comment further afterwards.
