Dear Becca In most cases the smaller you are, the larger you go, the more likely you are to have rippling. Saline does ripple more than silicone by about 3 or 4 to 1. In all liklihood you will see more rippling over time. In some paqtients I have used Alloderm or Flex HD to try to thickened the tissues and this has helped. It is placed (sutured ) into the pocket. It is cadaver dermis (skin) that is specially processed. There are not many options unfortunately other than switching to smaller than the 550cc implants. Discuss the problem with your plastic surgeon Good Luck Steven Schuster MD FACS
Dear Keaton You might want to try using a vibrator or personal massager to help the lumps. It can take up to six months for this to resolve. If after that time the lumps are still there a minor touch up can be performed under local anesthesia. As for the tissue under the areola, if it is still there you may need excision of this tissue which also can be done under local. Fortunately it is usually a minor correction and hopefully will give you a satisfactory result. Good luck, Steven Schuster MD FACS

Dear Brenda I somehow doubt you had collagen and I would be concerned it was some other product. Please see a plastic surgeon to see what can be done for you. I have never heard of a breast lift via collagen but I do know of the horrible consequences of silicone injections into the breast. I hope all turns out well. Steven Schuster MD FACS
Posted to Do you consider liposuction cheating? on 24 Aug 2009
Don't consider it cheating and don't think that weight loss and exercise can take care of everything. These are considered diet resistant areas. They respond beautifully to liposuction. Liposuction is NOT a technique of weight loss but of body contouring. Steven Schuster MD FACS
The goal in "wound toilet" or wound cleanliness is to protect the implant to avoid infection and removal of the implant. You need local wound care to achieve a clean wound so it can close up and once healed be revised. I will assume your plastic surgeon is following you closely during this phase. Good luck and I am sure things will work out ok. (by the way I believe the word toilet is derived from the french but I will have to look it up).
