The fluid is settling low (gravity) and causing the swelling. Rest, drink lots of water and hang on. It'll flush out soon and you'll be looking awesome!!!
Wow! You need a second opinion. I'd get that and then go back to my original doctor and demand a surgical revision. I had lost over 120 lbs and had over 20 lbs of skin removed. My stomach is flat as a board. I would be soooo upset if I were you. Stand up for yourself and go get this revised.
I had my tummy tuck the end of August. The pain and recovery was far worse than expected. The back pain is most likely due to you laying on it so much. Have someone prop pillows behind your back as you roll to the side a little and get some pressure off of it and put pillows between your legs. Find a comfortable spot. I had drain tubes for three weeks. 21 days exactly. Yes they were painful, disgusting and afterward the sites were sore and bruised until they started healing. I could not walk up right without hurting for about 5 weeks. It gets better each week. Another reason your back is killing you. The swelling in the stomach is normal too. You had a MAJOR surgery that involved not only skin but also muscle repair. Try to remember that. My best advise is find a way to take that pressure off your back, get lots of rest, take tylenol and don't push too hard. But do walk as much as you can. You are going to LOVE the end result and you will long long long since forget the pain you are in now. I promise!!!! Hang in there!

I agree with lovingheart 100%. My Dr did tell me that gravity pulls all the fluids, swelling etc there. However after 3 months post op he wanted to do some touch up lipo and get rid of a little more skin, so he offered to lipo that area for me while doing the touch up work. I love the way it looks and am thrilled with the results. Not near as painful the second time either because we weren't dealing with the muscles. Just skin and fat!!
How far post op are you? Did you have extended TT? How long did you have swelling in the lower tummy? I'm 5 weeks post op and still have a good bit of swelling in lower tummy by incision. Thanks for any help you can give.
