I keep posting this: Juvederm will cause horrible bruising!! Nobody tells you this and neither does any of the Juvederm literature. I looked like I had been in a car accident. The results were great in the end but at first I was completely shocked by the swelling and bruising. It also hurt like hell.

I never smoked but I have what I call "water bottle lip"--same result, different cause! I had Juvederm for these lines also, and it greatly reduced them but did not eliminate them. The doctor told me this would be the case.I was HORRIBLY bruised and swollen afterwards but did not have the lumps you describe.Overall I am happy with the results, it lasted nearly a year and I'll do it again. You will have to wait for the bruising/swelling to go away to see if yours was done correctly.

Amy- I had a tiny amount under the lashes last time, and none this time, and I really can't see the difference.I have a strong muscle there that kind of pops out in a little puff when I smile. With the botox it seems to be somewhat relaxed but not sagging.

Hi Amy, it seemed to wear off gradually, it wasn't like all of a sudden one day it was gone.I guess I'm lucky I don't feel any numbness in the crows feet area. Between my brows feels funny at first, then I think I get used to it. That is the area that I noticed "thawing out"(felt funny) when the botox wore off last time. I think around 2 monthes I noticed changes and by 3 it was pretty much gone. I just had it done again, this time with no shots under the lashes! I didn't have problems before (except a bruise) but you guys scared me!If I can figure out how to post before/after pix here I will, I made sure to take good ones this time.

From what I hear from other friends who got botox as well as my dr, it's probably the under eyelash one that did it. Everybody I knew told me DO NOT get botox in the under eye area. I feel so bad for you two, take heart it really does wear off eventually!! Do either of you know how many units you got under your eyes? Just curious.
