Just an update on me. I am now 10 months post-op and I feel great. A lot of these ladies tell you that it takes time for the swelling to go down. I didn't believe them because I was sooo swollen. I was so depressed because I just spent $5000 to look good and I looked worse. BELIEVE THESE LADIES! It is true. After 10 months I'm in a size 8 and happy! I was in a 10-12 pant with my belly hanging over the jeans. My belly is Flat and I look good in a bathing suit. Again, I can't say it enough, PLease give it time. Remember this is major surgery and you need time to heal.

I was told to massage, massage, massage to help the swelling go down.

I'm 3 months post op and I still have swelling. I had an appointment last week and they told me after 6 months your only about 80% toward final result. Final result could take close to a year. Sometimes they "forget" to tell you that pre surgery. I have not been wearing a compression garment since six weeks post-op but it was also recommended, along with massage to reduce swelling.
